Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Our neighbor behind us is constructiong a large deck that will extend along the whole second story of their home that will overlook our backyard. We feel that not only will we lose privacy ultimately we will lose property value if we try to sell. Do we have any recourse?

You should have received notice when he applied for his permit, and you had an opportunity to object at that time. Did you receive notice, and did you object?
