Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

property

In 2007 I went into a mutual contract with a woman whom I was living with. When I reliased that she was more into pot than me I had to get out, even she told me to get out, now she is telling me that she is going to take me to court for breach of contract, what can I do?

Re: property

Whether you would win or not in court has less to do with pot or a living together arrangement than it has to do with whether there is a breach of contract or not.

In order for there to be a breach of contract, there must be both a contract and a breach.

Maybe there is a valid contract between the two of you; maybe not.

Maybe you breached it; maybe not. Even if you breached the contract, you may have defenses.

If you'd like a careful and FREE analysis of your situation, contact me directly. Among the details I'd want to know is whether the contract is in writing, oral, or part written, part oral. Also, does it concern co-ownership of real estate? I have personal experience - not just as a lawyer - in such matters, before becoming licensed, the only difference being that I was the plaintiff.

Hire me. If she hears that I represent you as your attorney, she will have a hard time she deciding to sue you for not tolerating her illegal activity.

Best,
