Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

quick deeds

can a quick deed be drawn up and dated but not notarized for 18 months later and still be legal...When is it legal at the time it was drawn up or the time it was notorized? or would it only be legal after it was recorded? thank you very much.

Re: quick deeds

it is legal when it is signed but to be protected against later good faith buyers you should record it.
