Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Real estate question

I purchased a house during an auction in Beverly Hills, California on 4/4/09. On the information I received from the auctioneers it says that the property worth $78,000. I paid for the property $18,700.

After some inquiries few week later I discovered that the property worth maybe $5,000. It was obviously a misrepresentation by the sellers.

I contacted the sellers to cancel the transaction and get my money back.

The sellers promised me that they will take care of it. But, it was all a lie because they just wanted to stall for time and gave me the run around. The company is located in Utah. Now they are not willing to keep their promises and cancel the transaction.

One of the partners who promised me to take care of it, is now back here in Los Angeles on 5/21/09 and I would like to go and confront him about this issue.

I desperately need help.

I am 64 years old, a cancer survivor. I live on social security and the money I invested in this transaction was my last money.

Please, please can somebody help me and give me some advice how I can get my money back? What are other legal option open to me?

Re: Real estate question

You used poor judgment in making such a speculative investment with your "last money." Maybe you can sell the property.
