refrigerator

tenant did not want refrigerator in duplex. i removed refrigerator. tenant's refrigerator is too big for area. wants to have cabinets removed so new refrigerator can fit. do i have legal cost obligation to remove cabinets

No. If the tenant wants such changes, he can pay to change and then to return to original. Take a sufficient deposit to cover all that if you do the change.

No, unless your rental agreement/lease provides that you must make improvements for the tenant's benefit. In fact, you could probably prevent the tenant from removing the cabinets.
