Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

return of security deposit in apartment leases

A tenant moved out, did not give a 30-day written notice, left behind a very dirty-filthy apartment. It cost me much more to repair the unit to make it rentalable again. The security deposit did not cover my cost. can i demand monies from him. Also he stuck the notice in my mail box and never mailed it.

You can sue him for damages to the apartment and for last months rent. Usually small claims court is best if the amount is under $5,000.00. I can help you collect it. Call me for free consultation at 714 363 0220.
