Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

What are my rights as a seller?

My sisters and I are trying to sell 30 acres of land with a home. However, my brother in law has many cars, trucks, tractors and car parts on the property which is hindering the sale(about 3 acres worth). What are my rights as a 1/4 owner to get rid of this in order to make the property more appealing. He has been told to move it out by the realtor but isn't.

Re: What are my rights as a seller?

Please refer to my prior answers as well. Neither the Realtor nor the escrow company will be able to help much. I thought of approaching the county as to whether this is a zoning or use violation, but an abatement order would probably be addressed to all four of you, and thus mightn't be too helpful - but you could consider it, then after the order is carried out go to small claims to have the brother-in-law ordered to pay for the other three owners' share of the cost. Just an idea....I really think this should be negotiated or mediated rather than any court action used.
