Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Time required for an ex to claim his personal property

My divorce will be final on the 12th of Jan 07 and I'm needing information on what amount of time am I required to give him to pick up his personal property which I had to bring back from Germany. He wasn't able to take it all back so now I'm having to pay storage on it and can't afford the upkeep so I'm need advice on how much time am I to give him before his items I can either claim for myself, give away, or sell?

Thank you

Re: Time required for an ex to claim his personal property

Written notice to your Ex that he has 30 days from the date the appeal period on your divorce expires (21 days from the 12th of January) for him to pick up his items of personal property or that you will then dispose of them as you see fit---should be more than sufficent.
