Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Does a valet service have a right to inquire about the registration, relation of driver and registered owner,detaining vehicle w/refusing to return to driver and requireing registered owner to come in person to claim vehicle registerd to them. Ultimatelty,what are my rights if I were one utilizing a service of free valet parking.what are the required rights and responsibility of the entity providing such service to me for free while I am using the recreational facilities?

There is something to this story that you're not telling me. I have never heard of a valet refusing to deliver a vehicle to the bearer of the claim check unless the patron is 1) stinking blotto drunk; or 2) you didn't tip them. Also conveniently omitted from your story is, why don't you just go get your Mom and have her pick up the car. If you really don't want Mom to know you were at a gay biker bar, try bribing them $100.
