Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

Email snooping

Can an opposing lawyer in a civil lawsuit snoop into your email although it has nothing to do with the case? What if it isnt an email service from a corporation or job but a private email service used at home?

No. That might violate federal law.

With properly issued subpoenas, yes. You will have an opportunity to contest the subpoenas in court with an appropriate motion, and contest the introduction of any evidence at the appropriate time and place. If you don't know how to do these things right, and don't know how to represent yourself in court, you should have an attorney that does. If this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me if serious about hiring counsel.
