Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

illegal pictures

Someone posted naked pictures of me on a porn site. I wrote to them to take them down and they haven't. What can I do to make them remove them?

Re: illegal pictures

File a lawsuit for invasion of privacy, and seek injunctive relief -- both against the web site and the person who posted them. Make sure to put the web host on written notice, as well, certified return receipt mail, and keep copies of all of your correspondence.

Re: illegal pictures

Good luck trying. First, and most obvious, you allowed the pictures to be taken, which is why they got there. Second, you'll spend substantial money and effort in a lawsuit seeking and attempting to enforce a restraining order against the web site that may be offshore for all you know, and possibly seeking a judgment for damages. If it is really worth the money to you to try, feel free to contact me to discuss the costs and realities of suit.
