Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

Sexually Harassed out of my job

I was sexually harassed by my boss.Inappropriate touching, calling me to his office, shutting the door, hugging me, trapping me.Other times he had his hands on me in my area he would come from behind me while I was on the phone.I reported him to the VP(no HR-the VP made jokes. At least 10 times. I reported to the co. controller who took it to the president. Pres called the harasser told him to stop.No investigation,no follow up.Harasser then started writing me up, bad reviews, etc. Harasser resigned-now the co. continues to badger me-views me as a liability.I had surgery-coworker told HR(a new employee)that surgery was due to working conditions.I have been treated as if I have the plague.Prior to this for 5-yrs,I won awards at work, was viewed as a valuable employee. The sexual harassment lasted 9 months, the non investigation and since I returned from surgical medical leave-I am emotionally not okay. I told HR this while harasser was still in the co.I begged to not be under his charge-she said I had to remain under his charge.I am experiencing ill health, migraines, insomnia, anxiety attacks, etc.I am now under a drs care which I am paying for myself. The co just advised me I have to relocate to N Cal or lose my job.Now what do I do?

Re: Sexually Harassed out of my job

Do? Take action promptly. Sexual harassment and/or retaliation is illegal and the company is obligated to promptly remedy the harassment. If they don't you have grounds for a suit. Regardless of what you want to accomplish, you need to get an attorney to help, now. Contact me if interested in doing so.
