Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

I started dating my ex husband Nico when I was 16. He was 25. We were together for 5 years. During that time I found out little by little that my husband has an unhealthy attraction towards young women. His father Nick ownes a local business and gave us both a job. I worked there for a little over 6 months and while I was there I found out some things that made me sick... Aparantly his father is also a big fan of teenagers. He only hires women, under the age of 18 and eventually offers the girls money for sexual favors. If they refuse, he fires them. He picks these girls and literally "gives" them to Nico to use as he will around the shop and anywhere else he wants to take them. I caught my husband cheating on me twice with girls from the shop. One was 15, the other was 16. I found out that his father has been sued like 12 times for sexual harrasment and every time he offers the girls double what they ask for and they go away happy! I found this out from my husbands sisters. One of them is a corrections officer at the local sherrifs department and one of the others is a social worker with the state. Both of these women have known for years what is going on and have done nothing to stop it. The sister that works as a social worker has even threatened the life of a girl who said she wouldn't take money and wanted Nick in jail!

I suppose I got too old for him. About a week before I turned 21 I caught him yet again with a 16 year old girl from the shop. (He is 30 years old at this point mind you.) But this time instead of telling me he was sorry, he told me he's seeing several girls! Told me all about how he picks them up from the high school and takes them racing and to the movies and buys them alcohol. Then he forced me to sign a paper saying he gave me 30 days notice to get out of my house 30 days ago. Then he threw me out! Broke lots of my things, threw away things that were very precious to me.... And moved the 16 year old into my house with him! Where are these girls parents? They emancipated her! So Nico believes it is perfectly legal for him to have sex with her.

Nico is a preditor. He has learned from someone who has been doing this for over 30 years and has never truely been caught. He has lots of money behind him and an endless supply of innocent young girls to take advantage of. Both him and his father will do this for the rest of thier lives if noone stops them. I went to the local police department and told them about my husband and they told me THEY DONT CARE! I told them that I see him almost everyday around town with little girls in his car, that I've actually seen nude photos of underage girls on his phone, caught him having sex with them, that I've personally witnessed him looking at child pornography on the computer at the shop and that this girl now sleeps in his bed every night and they said they would "look into it."

I guess my question is, is there anything else I can do? It's absolutely disgusting and I seem to be the only one that cares about it. I can't believe that it is being allowed to continue. I won't get any help from local law enforcement, they know his family well and obviously don't take me seriously. Anything at all that I can do?

You might speak with the district attorney's office, especially if it has a sex crimes unit. Having sex with underage girls and having such photographs are criminal acts. Since there are photos on his phone, it's possible he transmitted them by telephone to others. In that case, some federal communications laws might have been broken and federal law enforcement might also be a resource for you.
