Is it safe to deal with a business if they are with the BBB and have an A rating? It is a Tax Resolution Service

Thank you

Re: Better Business Bureau

The BBB is just a resource and you do not necessarily have to accept what they say. Their criterion may not be what you or others would consider. Get a personal referral.

Re: Better Business Bureau

The BBB can be a good resource, but it shouldn't be your only resource. The BBB does have certain minimum requirements, but BBB approval is only part of the picture. Anybody who has been in business at least 6 months and pays a membership fee can have a satisfactory BBB rating if they have no complaints.

You also have to take a close look at the service this company is offering. When I hear "tax resolution service", my first reaction is that it might be a scam. I would try to get a personal referral. Better yet, talk to a CPA about your options if you have tax problems.

Re: Better Business Bureau

most of the tax resolution services are overpriced, unethical and cause more harm than good to taxpayers. you should retain an enrolled agent, a cpa or a tax attorney with tax resolution experience.
