Cited for driving a Lamborghini
I recently got cited for speeding in my Lamborghini. There were many cars traveling at a faster pace than me, yet the officer picked my car out of about 10 cars. The officer even stated, ''You weren't the fastest'' and boasted that he was stopping a lot of Ferraris and Lamborghinis that day.
Can I fight this citation based on bias?
Re: Cited for driving a Lamborghini
The general rule is that the defense that there were other cars going the same speed does not a defense. However you may be able to mount a defense that he gave you a ticket because of the car you were driving and not that you were speeding. The Nolo Press "How to Fight Your Traffic Ticket" has a great deal of information regarding defenses to traffic tickets. If the book does not answer your questions consider retaining an attorney to assist you.
