Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Hello, I have to go to court tomorrow for a warrant I was issued for driving with a suspended licence and with out prof of registration. I can provide the prof of registration tomorrow in court. Prior to this last violation I was trying to find out where I need to make payments to fix my licence for a ticket I was issued almost 5 years ago. I currently am unemployed and can not pay for my fines. How do I ask the court tomorrow if I can do community service or serve time for my dept owed so that I do not have to put financial strain on my family?

Driving on a suspended license is generally charged as a misdemeanor. If this is the case the court should appoint an attorney to represent you. It is a serious mattet and you need to talk to the attorney before you do anything.

Good luck
