Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Exhibition of Speed reduction to Unsafe start?

I was cited for exhibition of speed for breaking traction a couple of times in a virtually empty, wet parking lot at 5:30 in the morning in Riverside Co. Is it possible to have this reduced to a citation for an ''unsafe start'' (or so I think it is called) so I could then ask for traffic school?

Re: Exhibition of Speed reduction to Unsafe start?

Thanks for your posting. If you were just cited, not charged with a misdemeanor, you can have the case reduced if the judge and the prosecuting witness (in this case the officer) agree to do so in the interests of justice. Doing so means fighting the case until trial.

If you have other questions, or feel you need an attorney, please email me and I might be able to help.
