Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Hit and run with no damage to property other than my own

About a year ago I was involved in an accident where my tire blew out on a country road and I lost controll of my car and it flipped. No property other than my own was damaged. The car was off the road, and I left. Now they are charging me with hit and run. I read the statute they are charging me with (20002(a)) and it doesn't seem like it even applies. Can anyone help me make sense of this?

You need to contact an attorney and review the facts with the attorney. The police report should be available, and will give you information as to why the charges have been filed.
