Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I am 53 years old, my father started another family when I was in my 40's, he died in 2004, now my younger half brother and sister are getting older and when the youngest is ready to leave home I'd like to get my share of the inheritance. I was an only child until he married a woman from the Philippines when I was 40. I was cut out of the will when they had my sister 2 years later. Is there anyway I can get any inheritance at this point?

If your father disinherited you in his estate plan, you will not inherit anything from him.

Ms. Rouse is correct. If your father disinherited you in his trust or will, you are not entitled to anything. I would just add that even if you had been entitled to inherit from your father's estate, eight years after your father's death would be beyond any statute of limitations on any claim you might have had.
