Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My biological uncle passed away in January being survived by his wife and one brother (my father). His wife just passed away last week. She was adopted as a child. They did not have any children and all parents have passed. It is unknown if my aunt (who was adopted) has any biological siblings. What rights to the full inheritance does my father have since he was my uncles next of kin and from what we know his sister-in-laws next of kin as well. And there was no known will or trust.

It sounds like the entire inheritance goes to your father. Adoption cuts off inheritance rights in the biological family, and vests inheritance rights in the adoptive family. From an inheritance standpoint it is the same as if the adopted person was a biological child of the adoptive family.
