Burial

Is it legal, in California, for a person to be buried in their garden, rather than a cemetery, if so desired in the deceased person's will?

It would depend on the local laws but generally you would need a health permit. I doubt it. But not really sure.

Probably not. Too many potential health code violations. Perhaps cremated and the ashes buried or poured over the garden, but again, I would recommend talking to the local city health department.
