Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Changing address with attorney.

My grandfather,s will is in probate. The executor's attorney is sending my notifications to an incorrect address. How can change my address with him officially?

I have called and they won't change it ... is there another route to take?

I found a form to request special notice. I assume this would be a great way of notifying them of correct address. However I am unsure of how to file this document from Texas. Does it just require that I send to the attorney and not the court. How do you file with courts when out of state? Also Do you know how I can find any instructions for this form as I have been searching? The form number is DE-154

Re: Changing address with attorney.

Don't call. Write a letter!

Once you fill out a form, you send it to the clerk of court where the action is located, and a courtesy copy to all counsel of record.

If the form is available on the internet, there should be instructions available, too. Unless the form is pretty much self-explanatory.

In addition to what Mr. Bradie suggests, include a second copy to the court with a stamped, return-addressed envelope so that once the court files the document you are given a "file stamped" copy, showing that you filed it with the court and the world then is on notice of your new address.
