Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My dad and stepmom own a house in CA as joint tenants. My dad created a trust which grants my stepmom a life estate interest and I would receive that interest upon my stepmom's death. A grant deed was filed at the recorders office to change the title on the joint property to reflect, John Doe Trustee or his successors in trust under John Doe Living Trust. As a successor trustee, I understand that I would have to change the deed title to my name as the new Trustee. But how would you re-title the deed to take into account the life estate provision for my stepmom?

This can't be answered without seeing the chain of title and the trust documents.
