What is the deadline to file probate in the state of California?

There is no deadline to file a probate. However, the person who possesses the original Will of the decedent, if one exists, must be filed with the court in the jurisdiction where the decedent resided within 30 days of the date of death and provide a copy of it to the executor named in the Will.
