Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My disabled husband has a special needs trust account and Im on there as a remainderman. My father in law passed away and I dont know what that means. Can someone please explain? I just found out my mother in law filed to be the trustee and didn't serve me to the correct address. She switched the house numbers so I never received the paperwork. How can I see what that trust says?

It sounds as though your mother-in-law's error in sending the documents to you might have been inadvertent. Since you still do not have a copy, you should make a written request to your mother-in-law, on behalf of your husband, for a copy of the trust under Probate code section 16061.7(g)(5).
