Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Father died without a will. No spouse. Only 3 adult children. How do we transfer a property to the adult's names? Thanks.

Depending on the meaning of "a property", the answer will vary. If you mean real property, depending on the value, there may need to be a probate. If you mean personal property, the rules would be different.

If it is real property, and your father did not leave a will, your father's estate would probably need to go through probate court proceeding, which takes at least 9 months. My office handles this, so please feel free to call me.
