My father left no will and two blood children and companion of 17 years what are my rights

In a nutshell, your father's estate will pass thru the legal rules of intestate succession. Meaning, your father's children would be the primary heirs from the facts given, and the companion at issue would receive nothing, if there was no legal marriage between them.
