Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My husband and I are exchanging INTERSPOUSAL TRANSFER(s) OF GRANT DEED(s) we were wondering if in the event that one of us should pass on, would the surviving spouse automatically become the sole owner of the properties? Or would our surviving children or relatives be able to attach claim.
