Does the law support or are there any California codes that allow an administrator of an estate to defend the estate pro per in civil court outside of the probate court?

I would think so though you have failed to give enough facts to be able to provide any clear direction... What type of case is the outside case?

Mr. Brainard is wrong. No other information is needed. Probate fiduciaries must have counsel defend the estate in collateral proceedings other than possibly small claims.
