Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

How do I make a trust to protect our house without going through probate. I have been fighting cancer and we do not have any money to do this. Is Quicken a good start or what, I have an old copy of Quicken Will and Trust maker. Any information would be helpful, thanks.

I have no idea about the Quicken program. But I can tell you from experience that people that use other kits to create estate planning documents run into all sorts of problems. I always advise clients to get an estate planning attorney. It may seem expensive now, but it actually will save a lot of money and heartache down the road, if not for you, then for your family.
