Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My mother-in-law set up a trust that forces my husband to set up a trust that keeps his inheritance money separate. We currently have no trust at all, so how do we do this? Do I have him create his own trust? He plans on removing these funds and putting them into a joint account after he satisfies his mother's trust request so we would rather create this as inexpensive as possible. She lived in California and we live out of state but will be moving back to California in the next few months.

I would have to read the mother in law's trust to see exactly what it says-there may be an easier way to satisfy its requirements.
