Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Probate

I am listed as a beneficiary in a will, along with my brother, and a friend. The 3 of us would like to know if we have any rights since the attorney for the will and the executor are making decisions without our knowledge?

Re: Probate

You have a right to be notified about the administration of the estate, the assets of the estate, and the progress towards a final distribution, but the executor is not obligated to get your agreement or permission before making decisions such as selling assets.

However, the executor is obligated to act impartially towards all beneficiaries, and the executor is obligated to use good judgment when making decisions about buying or selling property, etc.
