While a good question, it is impossible to answer without more. Is it a revocable trust or not, what are the grounds for challenging the dispute, what is the alleged wrong? You are much better off going to an attorney and have the trust and issues reviewed and discussed with a qualified attorney.

If you are in the area, I am willing to assist you.

Good luck.

Sincerely,

Kai H. Wessels, Esq.

It depends on the cause of action, and when it accrued. If a breach of a trust duty occurred, the statute of limitations may start from the violation of the duty, not from when the trust was formed. When a statute of limitations runs is something attorneys can argue at length about. There are also facts that can extend it, and I have worked with such situations.
