Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Am i able to request a copy of my grandmothers Will if I feel another family member is persuading her to make changes to it? She is getting very forgetful in her old age.

No one has the legal right to force a living person to reveal the contents of their Will. You have to speak to her and convince her you have her best interests in mind. Afterwards, whether you see the Will or not, you should speak to the family member to see what is in fact going on. Rumors are often false.

You are not entitled to a copy of her will. She may choose to give one to you but it is only valid until the next change. If you feel undue influence is happening, look into that. Be sure there is no power of attorney issue that is allowing this. Forgetful is often something we assign to the old and it is not a shoe that always fits.
