Re: seized of deceased assets/Who gets what?

If he had no will, state law gives his property to his children (if he has a spouse, she is entitled to a portion). The son will have to be formally appointed by the probate court as administrator to have official authority over the assets.

You will not have a claim to the assets unless you can prove the existence of a contract entitling you to some or all of the assets.
