Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

If there is a trust deed with both the husband and wife on deed, husband wants to leave now a living trust and his half of property to his son. Would a living trust override the trust deed on house? Or should he simply add his son to trust deed? This is for a friend of family that I ask this question. Thank you.

A "Trust Deed" is usually from a loan. What you really need to do is have a lawyer look at the Deed to see how title is really held: Community Property; Community Property with right of survivorship, etc... and then see what changes need to be made.
