Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

trust

My mother died approx. one and a half years ago. About 13 years before she died she married a man whom I never really knew and basically was estranged from my brother and I. My mother had just retired from working all her life and owned property and timeshares that were hers before she met her husband. My mother told me years before, her best friends would be in charge of her will. My mother and her husband owned and lived in a house in Mission Viejo. When my mother died her husband's daughter flew in from Texas.I was told she making arrangements for her father to move back to Texas with her. We attended my mothers funeral. He had her cremated before the service. After my mothers service we went to her house in Mission Viejo. All of her clothes were in bags in the driveway. To be given to charity. My mothers husband then gave my brother papers to an IRA account for which he was the benifituary.Nothing was said to me.I contacted my mothers best friends they said they were told by mothers husband that my mother had changed her will removing them as excutors in place of his daughter. That everything was placed in a trust and will be distributed after he dies. I never have seen any thing. I don't have anything that belonged to my mother.

Re: trust

You can and should make a written demand upon your the trustee of the trust for a copy of the trust. Also, you can and should open a probate to get the power of the court to supeona documents and records regarding you mom's finances and property.
