How much will it cost to make an amendment to my current trust?

That's a tough one. It depends on what your present trust says and whay type of changes are required. A small change may only require a brief amendment. Unfortunately, if your trust is substantially out of date or does not reflect current law, or does not reflect your own dispositive plan, it is often necessary to restate and re execute the entire trust. YOu will also mneed to make sure everything you own is in the name of the trust. A trust does nothing to avoid probate if your own name is on title and not the trusts name.

So.. it depends. Seek good estate planning counsel and ask after he has seen the trust and determined what you need to change.
