Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Can an employer in California, contact a treating physician of an injjured worker, and suggest that the physician change the work status of that employee from being totally off work to that of a modified duty status?

yes, as long as the employee gets a copy of the letter to the physician. If the physician issues a report that the employee objects to, then the employee can request a panel.
