Family Members

If your only employees are family members, are you required to have Worker's Comp Insurance for them?

Some workers' comp policies have exclusions, eg, husband and wife, etc.

However, the term "family" is vague since you may be referring to a cousine. In any event, don't mess around with your life. Get insured!!

Yes. I can think of several scenarios in which the employer could be fined or otherwise made to pay substantial amounts of money to the state as a result of not getting comp coverage.
