Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I fell at work on September 2010. I initially went to the ER, had an xray and they put a splint on me. I was told I needed another xray in 2 weeks because of swelling the wrist xrays dont always show what if anything is broken. My employer told me I had to see a WC doc and not to go back to my primary care facility. I went to the WC doc and told them what the ER said. He was a hand specialist and took the splint off and said I just sprained it and sent me to another WC doc who sent me to PT. The PT hurt badly. They had me doing PT until an MRI on 11/2 revealed two breaks and a ganglion cyst with severe torn cartiledge. They WC told me I should be in a cast.

I had hand surgery on 01/05/2011. The surgeon told me most of the cartiledge was removed, the cyst removed and I should be fine. As of today, my wrist is weak and I still have pain. The surgeon at the last visit said he didnt know why I still had pain. Well with all of the cartedge almost gone it's causing other issues. Do I need an attorney. I'm thinking they are going to ask me to close this out when I go back to see the WC surgeion next month.
