Injury at work
I tore my ACL in Sept 2007 while working. I had one surgery to repair the ACL. 6 months later I had surgery to remove scar tissue and damage to my knee cap. My knee continued to click and pop and my quad muscle did not work properly. I went to Colorado and slipped on ice during the holidays (I did not fall and had on snow boots at the time). My insurance company is denying all claims even though the slip did not result in further damage and my case was still open (I had not been released). Is this fair? I am never going to the medical attention necessary to be pain free? I have not been able to walk up/down stairs, sit in a chair, or walk without pain since the initial injury date. All I want is to be pain free and return to an active lifestyle. I have attended every appointment; my insurance company even denied physical therapy that my doctor and physical therapist believed was necessary (prior to the slip). Further, some of my doctor's records are inaccurate. I am not sure what to do.

Even when insurance company deny a case, it doesnot mean you have no case. The important facts is that you reported the accident to your employer and received treatment hopefully have MRI taken before your slip and fall. You need to hire an experienced Workers' Compensation attorney who is near where you live. You have tried to deal with the insurance carrier and have failed, so you do need professional help. Since many are "mills", be careful to select an attorney who will have the time and inclination to actually speak with you.
