Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Job injury

In October of 1999 I was hurt on the job.

I had been working for the company for about 4 mons when the injury happened.

I was told by outher employees that if I turned it in to workers comp that I probably would not return to this employer.

I claimed it as an non-job related injury and went on state disability.

The injury turned out to be long term,I broke my calf muscle.

surgery was performed and now will probably not be able to return to this kind of work,my state bennifit have exhusted and I am still recovering....Is there anything i can do?

THANKS,
