Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

My original workers compensation claim filed as a specific was denied. refiled as a repetitive trauma. MY attorney said they would notify the other side to get an approval for an AME while I was awaiting results from the repetitive trauma case. and he said he would then expedite the appt with AME. 4 mos later he never told me if he got the approval he just kept saying it will take 6 mos for an ame appt. he still has not done anything.........I was told it takes 30-60 days to gain an approval for an ame.

therefore,,... Did my lawyer have to wait for the denial of the rep trauma claim before he could get an ame approval?

Is he required to get my signature for an ame pick? What possible excuse could he have after 4 mos for not getting the approval yet?

An AME is an Agreed upon Medical Extermination. To get approval he needs cooperation from your employers insurance company. That lack of cooperation most likely explains the delay. I offer free consultations. If you would like to discuss your case feel free to call me at 949-830-1182.
