Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

We signed there is a need for medical treatment...We received a check to cover a period. We haven't cashed the check. If we cash the check, do we have medical treatment on the knee down the road? We are afraid that if was accept the check, that future knee work won't be paid for.

You really, Really REALLY need an attorney. You signed something without any understanding what you were signing. There is no such document in workers comp as 'there is need for medical treatment'. So maybe you signed Stipulations With Request For Award, a document in which you and an insurance company agree on the Temporary Disability payments due, the Permanent Disability amount and payment, and as to whether there is need for any future medical treatment. Maybe you signed something else. It's completely impossible to tell here what you did.
