Do I have to use my vacation to cover my time that I\'m not working? I have been off for 1 1/2 days, who pays for that and when?

If you can't work, your doctor has to certify you for temporary disability benefits. If you have referred to an employer's or insurance company's doctors, most likely the doctor will send you back to work whether you like it or not. So you may have to change your doctor.
