Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

work comp is dening my dr treatment

I was injured at work and have been treating w/ a pain managment DR . I have a new claims person and now everything is denied and it take 4 months to get any kind of test done (that they want me to have done). I had the I-DET (?) proceedure done to my low back - two surgeries on my right elbow - tendons - wrist surgery and surgery on my right thumb . I don't know what to do I'm in pain everyday . I have to work because I'm a single mom . They had been good about treatment, I've just told them that since they won't let my Doctor treat me I will just go to the ER when my back pain is too much . PS I work for the county .

What is the question?

I see no question in your email. Most everyone has problems with denials at one point or another. In your case the ultimate question is whether or not your case has settled with an open medical award, or still open. In either case your should be able to find an attorney. I prefer the settled cases with open medical myself.

Without knowing specifics of your case, you may need to be taken off work and receive temporary disability benefits until your medical condition improves. Unfortunately. many insurance company doctors are biased toward employers and the insurance companies and would not provide you with the medical attention and disability period that you really deserve and very likely push you to return to work prematurely even if it worsen your medical condition. Please contact us at 213.388.7070 to discuss how we can assist you to get out of this ordeal.
