Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I have a workers comp. claim open...I received checks for wages while out of work, and while on modified duties. The doctors said I am permanent and stationary, and the QME doctor said I have a 12% whole body loss(?) I am back to work fully (no doctor restrictions). I have since received a check from the insurance company for partial permanent disability. Am I entitled to this check? My adjuster said that this is NOT a settlement check, as the case has not been settled. I am confused as to my next steps. Thank you.

Once your condition has become permanent and stationary or returned to full work, as exist in your case, you are entitled to reasonable advances on permanent disability. So you can cash the check.
