Fraud
I applied for a loan online and it was sent to a lender, and I was approved but because of my credit history I had to send money for insurance to secure the loan.I received the loan papers and signed them and sent them back in with the money and didn't receive the loan. I have tried to get in contact with them but to no avail.I live in a different state, can I bring charges against this company for fraud? and can I use an attorney in my state or do I need to try to contact one in the state of the company? or should I just get in touch with the district attorney in my state and let him take it from there?
Re: Fraud
You were not "approved" for a "loan." This was a scam. If they really wanted money for "insurance" they could have deducted it from the loan proceeds. You will not get your money back. You could possibly contact the state attorney general's office.
