Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

custody of my son

I am filling out the forms in order to get guardianship of my son who lives with me, my question is, what if my sons father does not care about getting custody and I dont know his address? He sees my son when he makes contact with me and such but I need legal cutody to get my affairs in order.

Call the courthouse and see when the Legal Aid Society of British Columbia family law duty lawyer is next scheduled to be in attendance at the Courthouse and then go at that time. If you community does not have scheduled legal aid family law duty lawyers, then call the Legal Aid Society of Britsh Columbia and see if you qualify for a lawyer to be appointed.
